Course Description: The goal of the Practical Avian Medicine series—presented by the Association of Avian Veterinarians (AAV) and Veterinary Information Network (VIN)—is to provide veterinarians with solid basic avian medical knowledge that is applicable to everyday practice. Each of the 9 modules is 2 weeks long.

Module 1 will cover the following topics: avian anatomy and physiology, ID and classification, husbandry and nutrition.

Course Outline: Week 1 (October 7):
Avian Anatomy and Physiology (Orosz)
Week 2 (October 14):
Bird ID and classification (Ford); Avian Husbandry and Nutrition (Jenkins)

TUITION: Member/$70, Non-Member/$130 by September 23, 2008;

Withdrawal within 1 week after the listed start date (including no more than one real-time session) entitles the registrant to a credit toward any future VIN CE course. (Does not apply to courses with only one real-time session.) After the first real-time session, a registrant may withdraw due to special circumstances and receive prorated credit towards a future VIN course.
